Winston also dropped his countersuit against the woman.Winston was being sued based on accusations of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress stemming from an interaction with him in 2012.The lawsuit was scheduled to go to trial in April.FSU agreed to pay the accuser $950,000 in January to settle a lawsuit she filed against the university for its handling of her Title IX complaint.Winston was never charged as the state attorney’s office declined to pursue a criminal case against him.
