This amounts to 36 ships, 87 port calls and 849 crew changes. The Durres-based shipping agent worked with local authorities handling Customs and permits for its clients, while supplying specialised machinery and personnel. The agency also managed a significant number of oversize transports with trucks and vessels within Albania and beyond its borders.Other members of the EMS-Fehn Group also worked on the project. EMS Albanian Port Operator (EMS APO) provided services and its East Terminal at the port of Durres. There, a total of 145,000 tonnes of project cargo was handled during the course of the programme – the major part of it being 135,000 tonnes of pipes. EMS Chartering provided support by helping to handle the cargo.”We are proud to have contributed to the TAP project with a flawless record,“ said GALA’s managing director Fation Dervishi. “Always on time and on budget, we ensured smooth operations in a safe environment.”EMS-Fehn-Group’s ceo Manfred Müller added: “For us, the TAP project has been an outstanding team effort, especially strengthening our position as a full-service logistics supplier in the Balkans.”www.gala-al.comwww.ems-fehn-group.delast_img
