Ross County’s summer signing Jay McEveley believes the good old days of Scottish football have returned and all eyes will be on the Premiership this season. The 31-year old joined the Staggies at the end of June following his release from English League One outfit Sheffield United.English-born McEveley, who represented Scotland three times under to the grandparent rule, has never played domestic football north of the border before. He told STV he is looking forward to featuring in the same league as some of the summer blockbuster signings including Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and Rangers midfielder Joey Barton. “If they can entice a few more people to come up here, then the league will grow and the spotlight will grow.”last_img read more
