Arenal Report

first_imgNo related posts. Dancers and jugglers and music! Oh my!The Culture Ministry brought Cultura Juventud to the Nuevo Arenal community Sunday night, Nov. 3. The Gymnasium/Community Auditorium was the venue for their performance. An appreciative audience was treated to three one-act plays presented by the theatre troupe from the University of Costa Rica in Heredia. The plays ranged from emotionally touching to clever and somewhat existential. The first was a story of unrequited passion, ending in a dance of love and a pistol shot of dismay. The modern dance group demonstrated grace, strength and agility with their interpretive ballet, replete with impressive movements. The high point for the youngsters in the audience was the appearance of two jugglers from Palmares, who were also students at the University. Skilled, talented and full of personality, they captivated everyone.Wonderful news has been received from the Cinco Esquinas area near Tronodora. Our beloved veterinarian, Dr. Mario will be opening his new Cruz Clinica Veterinaria in November. Pet lovers on the Nuevo Arenal side of the lake will now not have to travel to Tilarán for animal care. The clinic will have two private exam rooms, a surgery suite, an X-ray room, laboratory and pet supply store. Many specialized pet foods, heretofore unavailable, will be stocked. Of course, Dr. Mario Cruz will continue with the same care and attention that has endeared him to so many clients.Watch this column for grand opening announcements!-William & Jean [email protected] Facebook Commentslast_img read more
